Victor G. Guerra

Victor G. Guerra joined the staff of Pathfinder Public Affairs in January of 2015.  He was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley and calls the rural community of Linn, Texas home.  He is a graduate of Edinburg North High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Development with an emphasis in Beef Cattle Production from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas in 2004.

In 2003, Guerra completed an internship during the 78th Texas Legislative Session as a Senate Messenger, as well as assisted Secretary of the Senate, Patsy Spaw.  Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, Guerra completed a summer internship with Alvaro Gonzalez’s Global Client Group at Merrill Lynch in McAllen, Texas.  He then served as a Legislative Aide for Representative Armando “Mando” Martinez of Weslaco, Texas during the 79th Texas Legislative Session.  He primarily focused on constituent services, public relations and the House Committee on Appropriations for Representative Martinez during his time at the capitol.

In 2005, Guerra was accepted to St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, where he earned his Doctrine of Jurisprudence in 2009.  Upon completion of law school, Guerra served as a Law Clerk in the Litigation Division in the Office of Legal Services of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in Austin, Texas.  Guerra assisted numerous attorneys with research and case preparation while carrying out various other duties during his time with the commission.  Guerra is a licensed attorney with the State Bar of Texas and is a member of the Oil, Gas & Energy Resources and Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Bar.

Guerra has always played an active role in his family’s registered cattle business, La Muneca Cattle Company, where he focuses on marketing and public relations.  He is involved in various charitable organizations including the STAR Gala Committee, Texas FFA Foundation and several others including the American Jr. Simbrah Roundup and Linn-San Manuel community.  Guerra works extensively with the youth, particularly through 4-H and FFA projects, putting on showmanship clinics, delivering motivational speeches and judging showmanship contests.
